Job Purpose:

The Wind Business Development Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan and perform outside sales and marketing efforts to the Wind Energy industry for oil and fluid condition monitoring testing services. Company is one of the largest and leading providers of testing, inspection and certification service in the world, and is looking to expand its footprint in the renewable space. ISO certified, a member of AWEA, ISO, and ASTM.

Primary Duties:

•    Perform direct sales and business development activities (both immediate & long-term) which contribute to the growth and development of business in the Wind sector 
•    Develop target prospects by identifying key market players (Owners, OEM, Service Companies, etc) and creating a strategy to expand market share.
•    Develop close working relationships with key personnel at assigned accounts; identify and develop thorough understanding of end user's needs and requirement 

Secondary Duties:

•    Prioritizing activities and time management to ensure optimum penetration and profitability, including developing strategic account plans.
•    Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
•    Participate and represent the Organization in industry trade-shows and professional societies.
•    Work with Commercial Manager in development execution of company sales strategy.
•    Developing and maintaining client relationships at senior management levels.
•    Preparing written proposals; delivering oral presentations to customers and other prospects.
•    Setting and executing account strategy.
•    Providing business direction to customer service and inside sales groups.
•    Providing accurate and timely reports including forecasts and activities.
•    Diligently use, maintain and updating customer information using SalesForce CRM.

Skills / Qualifications: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred, or commensurate education and experience. 
•    Sound understanding of oil analysis and lubrication fundamentals.
•    Knowledge of customer base in Wind Generation.
•    Knowledge of the components and operation of a wind turbine.
•    3+ years sales experience in wind turbine maintenance or related service industry.
•    Ability to effectively present technical sales solutions professionally
•    Effective time management.
•    Good team player and should meet or exceed team goals.
•    Build working relationship with current and potential customers.
•    Collaborate and work effectively as a team member.
•    Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
•    Plan decisions and practice good judgment.
•    Effectively communicate and make best use of interpersonal skills.
